We are more likely to grow and succeed as educators, facilitating student learning and success, when we use our greatest inner and innate talents and strengths rather than spending energy trying to overcome perceived deficits. Our social and cultural identities often (or may) impact the ways we define, experience, value, and express our strengths in ways that are different from others. This session will apply a culturally informed, strengths-based approach to teaching and learning improvement. Using scenarios, participants will reflect upon identities and strengths, practicing strengths-based thinking.
