Business Process Automation at Scale: Outcomes of a Multi-campus Pilot
Presentation Abstract
As individual entities, the 23 CSU campuses use a collection of tools to facilitate electronic document management & storage; case management; service request management; electronic forms; digital signatures, and workflow. Some of these solutions are time-consuming and complex to implement, and cost-prohibitive to replicate and scale.
Over the 2019-2020 fiscal year, CSU Channel Islands received innovation grant funding from the Chancellor’s Office to lead a multi-campus proof-of-concept (POC) solution for business process automation. This project was inspired by efforts in the University of Wisconsin system, which recently selected a business process automation platform for all 26 campuses in its system, and has deployed 550 processes over a 12 year period.
Attendees will learn about the POC, see demos of the product and POC outcomes, and explore challenges and opportunities to create scalable and re-usable process workflows across multiple campuses.
