Assembling, Engaging, and Empowering Your Orchestra for Change (Part I)
Presentation Abstract
We all play a part in orchestrating change — change practitioners, senior leaders, people managers, key influencers, and project team members. But how do you assemble the right players and get everyone tuned into their roles and playing from the same sheet of music? This session will help you identify and then engage, support, and empower the right coalition and network across your university to orchestrate successful change. You will build a role roster focusing on the purpose and outcomes of each role, then develop a plan and engagement tactics to activate their change roles.
Learning objectives:
• Create a shared understanding of foundational change management concepts to craft a compelling case for change
• Connect the value of change management to specific organizational roles and build a role roster for a specific change
• Activate change roles through an ADKAR assessment of employee-centered role definitions in order to build change competencies
