Nominations Are Now Open for the 2019 Tech Awards
The Cal State Tech Conference Tech Awards recognize excellence and outstanding contributions by campuses, project teams and individuals across several areas.
Help us celebrate these achievements by submitting a nomination for one of our Tech Awards. You may choose among the following categories:
Award Categories
Emerging Campus Technology Leader (peer-to-peer award)
- A technology leader who work with peers across the academic enterprise to solve pressing institutional challenges
- Effectively lead teams to work together towards a common goal by inspiring others
- Cultivates environment of accountability, trust, respect, and inclusivity
Evolving Infrastructure, Services, and/or Sustainability
- Implementing next generation enterprise solutions including cloud computing
- Evolving services and/or infrastructure to support student identified technologies
Innovation in Teaching, Learning, and/or Accessibility
- Integration of new technology in traditional classroom, hybrid, online, or technology-assisted courses
Innovation in Research
- Implement projects or initiatives in collaboration with faculty to support research
Organizational Growth, Change, and Leadership
- Create a culture of growth and diversity that is innovative and sustainable.
- Creating new professional opportunities to develop new skills and train future leaders.
- Fostering an inclusive culture that is open to new ideas, perspectives, and individuals.

Student Experience and Success
- Implement solutions to engage the digitally native students
- Implement solutions that make the business of being a student easy
- Implement projects or initiatives that enhance 4 year graduation rates
- Implement solutions, projects, or initiatives that address student needs outside of the classroom
Transforming/Disrupting the Organizations Through Technology
- Manage organizational transformation through effective change management
- Manage transition from established less than productive processes to a new efficient technical solutions
- Introduction of systems, methodologies, and cultural elements that fundamentally change the way the campus operates, particularly with its students

- Describe the impact or potential impact of the initiative
- Who was involved in implementing the initiative?
- What technologies, if any, were used to support this initiative?
For nominations that pass the first round of review, the committee will ask for documentation that supports the project.
